Dmitry Dakhnovsky

Dmitry Dakhnovsky is a technology entrepreneur and venture investor with more than 30 years of experience building and scaling technology companies. Prior to co-founding Stereo Capital, Dmitry founded and operated several technology ventures including chessclub.com, chess.net, and TEKAMA, an edtech company that partnered with Carnegie Mellon University to establish international technology universities and train thousands of software engineers. At Stereo Capital, Dmitry has led investments in Arctic Wolf Networks, Iterable, Zumper, Human Security, Weave (IPO), and Wrike (acquired by Citrix).

 

Dmitry is an avid local airplane and glider pilot, squash enthusiast and a longtime martial arts practitioner.

Jim Smith

Jim Smith has more than two decades of venture capital experience investing in enterprise and infrastructure software companies. Prior to co-founding Stereo Capital in 2017, Jim spent eleven years as a General Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures, where he led investments including OpenDNS (acquired by Cisco), Pluribus Networks (acquired by Arista), RingCube (acquired by Citrix), and Quake Technologies (acquired by AMCC). Earlier in his career Jim developed high-performance computing systems at Silicon Graphics. At Stereo Capital, Jim focuses on growth-stage technology companies with strong product-market fit and improving go-to-market efficiency.

 

Outside of venture capital, Jim is a dedicated endurance athlete and has represented Team USA at the Triathlon World Championships.
